I’m just finishing up my rookie season as the preacher here at Madison Christian. As an associate minister in Indiana for 15 years, my love for preaching and teaching became so intense that I uprooted my family and moved. I don’t always notice God’s hand in events in our lives. However, God made it perfectly clear that coming to Madison Christian was all about Him and all from Him.

When I first rode into the parking lot, I thought what most people think when they drive by our building… “What a cute church building.” But when I got to see what God was doing inside the hearts of the leaders and members of this fellowship, I was blown away. I thought, "This is a cute church. But they’re not going to stay this small very long." And someday, we hope God will bless us with a facility that may not be as ‘cute’, but will be much more useful in reaching more people for Jesus.

At Madison Christian, we are unashamed of the fact that we want to grow by reaching lost people with the message about Jesus’ love for them and how He alone can save them and give them meaning and a new life. The willingness of the leaders to make whatever changes necessary to reach the lost is so refreshing and inspiring. They are also committed to the fact that one thing does not change: our message of salvation in Jesus Christ only as taught in God’s word – the Bible.

If you worship with us on any weekend, you will be overwhelmed by how friendly the people are. You will also notice how God has blessed this church with some incredible musicians and singers (it’s good to be in Music City). And, every week it is my prayer that you will hear a message that is true to God’s word and applied to your life in a meaningful way.

I am so thankful for how this church has embraced my family. I am married to the most beautiful dental hygienist I’ve ever known. We are blessed with 4 children: Mark (currently serving in Kuwait, in the Army Reserves); Meagan & Jillian are students at MTSU in Murfreesboro; Bethani is a Sophomore at Beech High School. Regarding my three daughters…if you’re a guy, stay away from them (even though you’re still welcome to worship here at MCC). I have been accused of being over-protective.
